What We Do Shapes Us
The Power of Worship at Lansing Christian School
At Lansing Christian School, one of the most beautiful aspects of our community is the opportunity for all of our students, from PreK to 12th grade, to come together each week to worship God. During our weekly chapels, we lift our voices in praise, united in expressing our love and gratitude to Him.
In the middle and high school, student-led worship teams take the lead, preparing music and guiding their peers in song. It’s inspiring to see these young leaders use their talents to create an atmosphere of reverence and joy, pointing their classmates toward God. Meanwhile, in the elementary school, our dedicated teachers use their musical gifts and passion for worship to lead the younger students, fostering an early love for praising God through music.
It’s a beautiful sight to see every student, even our youngest 3- and 4-year-olds, fully participating in our worship community. While they may not yet know all the words or motions, their enthusiasm is contagious as they clap along with the older students, joyfully engaged in the moment.
What we do and what we practice regularly shapes us. Worshipping and praising God at school infuses joy and thankfulness into our day. It reminds us of who God is and of His amazing love for us, and it reminds us that every part of our lives belongs to Him. This is what Christian education is all about.
At LCS, worship is not just something we do—it’s part of who we are.
