LCS Stories
The Ivkovich Family
How many children do you have at LCS and what grades are they in?
We have two children at LCS, they are in 8th and 9th grade.
What do you value about LCS?
We value the investment the teachers and other staff make in our children and the genuine desire they have for them to reach their full potential. To attend a school where your beliefs are shared can’t be understated. To know that the school approaches every situation – good and bad – from a Godly perspective is so amazing. To know that our kids can freely express their faith in a setting where they are not alone is a blessing, especially at a time in their lives when peer pressure plays a big role in teen’s lives. They can own their faith and work through what they believe in a school that echoes what we, as parents, believe.
Why did you choose LCS?
At a pivotal time in their lives, where they are building a foundation of the people they are going to become, we knew the importance of learning in an environment that would foster not only their educational needs but their social, emotional, and spiritual needs as well.
In what ways have you seen your children grow in their faith as a result of their experience at LCS?
They are able to see practical ways to apply their faith in everyday situations at school and with their peers. Our children are growing and learning and confident, not just in the subjects they have studied but in who they are and their worth.
What would you say to someone considering a Christian education at LCS?
Do it. You won’t regret it and the odds are much greater that you may look back and regret NOT sending them.
